THE W.E.E. WORKSHOP SCOOP
Chocolate, Chillies &
Cha-Ching!
The Spicy, Sassy Guide to Investing Like a Queen
With April Eden
Forget boring spreadsheets and finance bros in suits.
This is not your average investing workshop. We’re talking chocolate, sass, and serious money moves.
In this bold, bite-sized session, we’ll unwrap the world of investing using the universal language of chocolate. Think:
Milk chocolate = smooth, safe, and sweet (low risk, low drama)
Dark chilli chocolate = bold, fiery, and fabulous (high risk, high reward)
You’ll discover your personal investing flavour, learn how to build wealth without the overwhelm, and walk away feeling like the boss of your financial future.
No jargon. No judgment. Just real talk, rich insights, and maybe a few chocolate-fuelled revelations.
Whether you’re just starting out or ready to spice things up, this workshop will leave you feeling empowered, educated, and ready to make your money sizzle.
April Eden
I’m April Eden from Dunedin...and yes, I rhyme on purpose.
I help people turn “I should probably start investing” into “Look at me go!” Whether you're just starting out or already have a portfolio that needs a bit of love, I offer personalised advice across shares, fixed interest, and KiwiSaver, always aligned with your goals, risk appetite, and lifestyle (no finance qualifications required because I’ve already got them for you!).
While I might be a qualified Financial Adviser with an accounting degree from Otago Polytechnic, I promise I'm not boring and the proof is in the pudding. My 14 year old daughters friends say I'm the cool mum! (Personally I think that might be my biggest achievement to date!)
Before Craigs, I spent years in hospitality, which means I’ve mastered the art of talking to all walks of life, including adults channelling their inner toddlers. People skills? That’s my superpower.
Since 2018, I’ve been part of the Craigs Investment Partners team, backed by one of NZ’s top research squads. But what makes working with me different? You don’t just get an adviser, you get April Eden from Dunedin: approachable, straight-talking, and genuinely invested in helping you feel confident about your money.
Outside the markets, I wear a few other hats, most proudly, Mum. My two daughters are my daily reminder of why empowering women financially matters so much. I’m passionate about helping women build confidence with money, break down barriers, and take control of their financial futures.
