Putting It On the Page

With Dr Nicola Brown

People have been scribbling things down to make sense of life for centuries.

There are many reasons why writing can be therapeutic; in this session we'll cover a tiny bit of science about what some of these are.

We'll discuss various forms of writing-as-processing, and try out some techniques in a no-pressure way.

Whether you want to capture your most outlandish dreams, wrangle memories you want to hold onto, craft a kick-ass resignation letter or simply scribble a better-than-average greeting card once in a while - we’ll think about how and why to put it all on the page.

Please bring a notebook or journal and three different coloured pens or pencils.

(Or more, if you have a stationery addiction.)
